6th February

Well here we are with the very first blog onto the “NEW” Website. The past few months have been stressful for me with trying to make a fresh new looking website but also to keep it looking familiar. It defiantly needed updating, it had been online for over 12 years the old site and when comparing it to the new looked rather out dated. We did get a few people to test the new site out, thanks to all those who did, it was a appreciated and I think we sent a little thank you in the orders to everyone. We had a couple of problems with the site, the new server would not propagate the website properly so after about 30 hours we had to put the site onto a completely new server and then it was all up and running in 3 hours. Since going live I don’t think there have been to many problems, we do have one person unable to click through to Paypal and we are looking into that for them. One major problem for me is that my email address does not work on the new site, it was a forwarded email and the new server does not like forwarded emails. We have just registered my email address again and they are adding this to the website and my computer tomorrow. We have managed to get the orders out as we can get into the back of the server to print them off. I think I have all the technical issues mentioned correctly, those who know me know I’m not very tech savvy so it has been a challenge.

I just spotted late last night when I looked to see how to add a blog to the new site that a lot of the links on the blog and pictures have not loaded correctly, I will have a chat with the web guy’s and see if they can sort this out for us. That’s enough about the new website although I should mention we have two special offers, if you spend £125 on the site we will add a bag of 11″ chrome rounds into the order for you. Plus if you spend £250 we will give you a free ticket to attend the Rob Driscoll workshop that we have just booked for April, more details below. Balloon Art Wholesale.

So we have boked the first Balloon Artistes Guild balloon workshops for 2022, its a two day event with myself running the line work day on the 26th April and Rob running the star lecture day on the 27th April. Both days are in Birmingham and run from 10am till 5.30pm. If you could pass on details to others it would be nice to see as many as we can attending the days as it has been so long since we have all got together, booking details, Balloon Workshops.

It’s the Blackpool Magic convention in a few days time, we travel up ohttps://balloonartwholesale.co.uk/balloons/workshops/n the 16th Feb, set the stand on the 17th and then the convention is open from 18/20th Feb. If you are coming then please pop along to the stand and say hello or even better perhaps attend one of the three workshops that we are running over the weekend, that would be very nice.

Off to find the random balloon picture for the week.
I went with the model of the month for February over on balloon Chat.
The step by step instructions can be found here if you would like to have a go at making it, Triceratops.
