This week in balloon world, what have we been doing?
I went up to the London jam on Tuesday, it’s been a while and we met for a very nice meal before in Pizza Express, a little disappointed as I’m a lover of the calzone pizza and they have taken that off the menu………….shock horror! Had a nice time as Paul came down from Preston for the jam and stayed at mine, he also did the official opening of the new balloon warehouse for us while here and also Rob popped over before the jam for a catch up. City of London jam pictures.
The majority of the warehouse is now all sorted, all new boxes in, all numbered and all the new numbers now added to the website (well nearly) Just the centre Isle to finish off once the new order of Sempertex balloons come back into stock. The last thing to be done is the fitting of the matting, this has been ordered and is on it’s way over to us. If you would like to read up on the transformation of the warehouse I have posted over 100 pictures with some of the official opening by Paul with a few balloon sculpture designs. Warehouse pictures.
We are off up to Worksop on Monday for the next Care & Share balloon day with Roger Daws running the day for us, it’s titled “Ordinary to Extraordinary” and will run on the lines of a basic design for line work being up-scaled to a more detailed model and then that design being altered to fit as a table centre piece. Roger is always very thorough with his work so it will be a very structured day, very much looking forward to it. There are still spaces available and the day is only £20 to attend. Booking Details.
We then have quite a quick turn around as the next Care & Share day is on Monday 8th May in Bristol, I always attend the Bristol day of magic which is on the Sunday so it seems a good idea to hold a Bristol balloon day the day after. Details for the Bristol balloon day are on the link above and if you wanted more info for the Bristol Day of Magic the please follow this link. Bristol Day of Magic.
It’s BalloonTube Sunday this week with Poppy Troll being the design explained this week. If you can subscribe and tell a few friends about the channel that would be very much appreciated. BalloonTube.
That’s it from me for this week, off to find the random balloon model of the week.
This is the horse come donkey that I made a couple of weeks back.
