The editing last week went well, we worked out how to cut out the first and last 5 seconds or so when I switch the camera record button on and off. I then worked out how to add a picture to the tutorial and after that how to fade the said picture in and out so it all looked a little more semi-professional. So rather pleased, all ten tutorials are now ready to go and I have converted three of my DVD’s so they are ready to go onto the internet. I also sorted out how to compress the files as some of the two hour DVD’s are over 8GB, but compressing them has brought this down to just over 2 GB.

I had another show yesterday which was nice although extremely hot, we even managed to keep everyone watching even though the weather was pretty warm. They had all jumped out a paddling pool before the show and we were sitting in a nice cool dining room with sun shades down which did help.

Had an unusual experience with Travelodge this week, we have been emailing for about 10 days now. Back in April 2020 I had four rooms booked over six nights for a star lecture two day event, this had to be cancelled due to Covid and lockdown. I was given a choice of either having a refund or a credit added to my account. I was assuming many would want a refund and cashflow might be a problem so opted for the credit, I will point out we did get an extra 25% if we opted for this option. I had honestly forgotten all about this till last week when I was booking a room and it sprung to mind so I contacted Travelodge to see how I could book using the credit. Well to my surprise they credit was only valid till the end of 2021, this was not mentioned when I was given the option and also not mentioned in the email when the credit details came through. It was mentioned in small writing when you clicked onto the credit note. Also every week Travelodge email me with offers and deals trying to entice me to book a room here or there, It’s a shame they could not email those with credit notes to remind them the offer had a limited availability. I’m sure I’m like many others who have lost out, plus we were only able to start the days up in November 2021 so there was no chance I would have been able to use all the credit up which was £346.20, so many thanks Travelodge for the totally un professional way you have in my mind handled the situation. I’m off next week to call them up and see if there is anything they can do…. but from the emails so far it’s just so Black and White to them.

We are still hoping to have the new forum up and working for the 1st August, it will be a pound a week to join plus VAT till the end of December 2022. We will then see how things pan out and the way forward for 2023. I will post a minimum of eight tutorials onto the forum and three of my DVD’s and the plan is to also have three zooms as well later in the year. We are also planning on having the number tutorials hosted on the new forum with some of the more advanced tutorials, including two that are already filmed and ready to go which include Jessica Rabbit and Paddington Bear. I also have a really nice new Teddy Bear design that can either stand up or sit down that I was pleased with when we came up with the idea. There will be an extra payment for the advanced designs and we are looking into doing an offer if you are already a member of the new forum, so please watch this space and I will post details shortly, thanks xx.

That’s me for the moment, if anyone does need any balloon product then please take a look at the websites and we are happy to help out, for Qualatex, Balloon Art Wholesale.
and for Sempertex products, Sempertex Balloons.

I posted about the new forum onto Facebook this week and got over 300 likes, loves etc when I posted details and the picture of Jessica Rabbit. So thought we would add Jessica here onto the blog as well, so no random balloon picture of the week as we already know the one we will be using.
