It’s Halloween weekend and I do have a balloon modelling gig to go to today, it’s a six hour shift but I do take a couple of breaks and have been going to this one for 5 or 6 years now and it is a nice one. Usually busy but manageable. I have been making a few new Halloween designs as well, I take between 6/8 designs that people can pick from so we keep things moving a little. I did a last minute Zoom this week for the Bat design which I’m guessing I will make a few of them today at the gig, it is on the link above if you wanted to take a look. I think it’s a pretty usable design and hopefully a few others will as well. We did film the tutorial and it is available to club members over on the website, The Balloon Artistes Guild.
I was making quite a few Winnie the Pooh designs again this week, possibly about 14 variations as I could not quite get the look I was after. I did end up with a couple of nice designs with the 260 balloon so thought let’s try with a 350 and bingo, I think that style hit the mark better. Funny sometimes how things work out, I will film this one I think as a premium tutorial as I do have time next weekend. It’s model of the month time as well over on Balloon Chat, I was going to go with a quick line work Sonic but then thought it’s nearly Christmas so perhaps something a little more appropriate. Royal Mail are on strike again this week for three days, it’s surprising how many people do not realise this and only find out when they call to see what the delay has been with shipping their order out. I think this has been going on for over six weeks now, fingers crossed it all gets sorted soon.
So, what will the random balloon picture of the week be? I’m hoping to find a design rather than Winnie the Pooh so off to look.
I went with the Helicopter design that I filmed for “The Balloon Artistes Guild” club members page but was also used for my small session on the Qualatex Q-corner convention.
