I’ve had a busy morning as just filmed four tutorials for the new forum, Mouse, Crown, Parrot and the Bird designs. The Parrot did not go as smoothly as I’d hoped as a pinch twist got caught under the perch and between the Parrots feet. I’ve just watched as was thinking about re doing but it was quite funny and good that people see that it does not always go as smoothly as one would like so have left it in. I will edit them in the week and that is now 16 tutorials we have filmed and as they say in the can. We have 31 members at the moment which I’m rather chuffed about, we have set the forum up on the site as well now and I have started to post but as yet no one else has. This is a shame as I wanted the forum type site, I was hoping to post my variations on a theme as time went on and perhaps others would post their variations on the design, still its early days and perhaps once we have done a few zooms that will encourage people to join in. If you would like to join then this is the link, you get nine tutorials, three of my DVD’s and then two live zooms till the end of the year all for a one off price, The Balloon Artistes Guild Forum.
I was out yesterday looking for a new Pink shirt to wear but still not found anything that I really like at the moment, will carry on looking for a while and I do have one coming that I ordered of the internet so perhaps that one might work, will have to wait and see.
I have a couple of gigs this week, one in Dartford on Wed and then in Twickenham on Saturday
so will be nice to be out and working in the real world.
Balloon Chat was off line for a week as one of the plug ins that is so old it’s not supported anymore and that crashed, so it took them a week to get it all updated. The front banner is not correct and the links on it are not working correctly as yet. I’m having a new header made as they are making one for the new forum so I thought we would freshen up the Balloon Chat one as well. It was just a coincidence that Balloon Chat crashed as we launched the new site, it definitely was not planned and Balloon Chat has a different look to it at the moment. Some of the pictures on each thread are not in order which is a little tricky if anyone is making a model of the month, I am going to get them to have a look and see if they can sort this glitch, fingers crossed they can but it might be a few days. Plus some of the links are not working at the moment, not sure if that can be over come as well, we will have to wait and see.
We have the next Balloon day all booked and planed for Monday 26th Sept in Worksop near Sheffield, if anyone would like to attend we still have four early bird specials still available making the day absolutely free to attend. We are running four sessions
all on quick’ish line work designs for the real world. If you would like to book, Sheffield Balloon workshop.
I have also set up the first Zoom for the forum members, its on Wed 7th September at 8pm UK Time,
its free for members but non members are welcome as well for a small fee, details here, Bird Zoom.
Off to find the random balloon picture of the week, I’m guessing it will be the Bird design we will be
teaching on the Zoom as I love the look and the feel of the design. Be right back.
