We have completed the first week in Balloon Towers 2, all is going OK. Internet works fine just we have not got our landline switched over as yet unfortunately. We had the internet put in on the 11th December as to port over a phone line takes 12 days… so they told us. That would have made it around just before or after Christmas which would have worked great as we moved on the 3rd January. Things did not go to plan and we are told it will be done and working for Monday 13th January, so fingers crossed it’s sorted tomorrow.
Been doing a little twisting, not too much as still unboxing and trying to get straight here. Been down to the charity shop and the local dump as well to start making a little more room.
I purchased some Prima balloons to try them and see what they were like, they feel like the Kalisan and a little chalky and a harder balloon. Early days but they are very very squeaky for me at the moment, letting them get to room temperature and will try again later today.
I also got some of the new Anagram 260’s, the feel on the hands is amazing, very much like the Gemar. The first few have inflated wider at the neck than the nipple end but I was using a hand pump so with try with battery on floor pump for that one smooth motion to see if there is a difference. Pushing the air along the balloon was not as easy to do either but it’s early days and I will carry on twisting with them and the Prima to see how we get along with both.
Sorting some balloon dates out, will be at the Trix children’s magic convention on the 12th May the day before the main day with two balloon workshops, it’s £25 to attend the balloon workshops and I will add the link once it’s live on the Trix page as they are sorting the tickets and payment. The workshops are 11 till 12.30 and then 1.30 till 3.00, we will be doing real world balloons that I use in my magic act and then interactive games. We are also at the Boston Football Club for the Lincolnshire Balloon & Face Painting Jam on Sunday 16th March, I will have the shop and running a workshop.
