The saga with our house move continues, he he.
This week our house buyer was going to sign the contract… but there was a name mistake on the contract so it’s had to be drawn up again. Good news is we have a moving date, they originally wanted the middle of December but with shows and balloon sales December is not a good month for us. So we have agreed to move on Friday 3rd January 2025. It’s only taken 13 months and has been a bit of a, yes that word again, a saga but it looks like the end is in sight, fingers crossed.
We are off to Sheffield on Monday for the Worksop balloon day, it will be a small get together as we only have 7 people booked in but I’m always keen not to cancel them as people might have booked a baby or dog sitter, taken day off work etc. If anyone would like to join us it’s on Tuesday 12th November, I will be running two workshops, one on weaving and the other on interactive balloon games. So next year and the balloon days, we are now looking for sponsorship if anyone would like to help as I feel this is the way forward after trying this year with no sponsorship. It is a lot of work putting the days on and then the worry of getting enough people through the door so we just break even. The more years we run the days the harder it seems to get people attending. There are so many more events on now than when we started 20 years ago and also so much on line training available as well via YouTube and the academies with monthly fees. So onward and upward, days will be going ahead for 2025 and my 21st year of running them but possibly in a slightly different format again… so watch this space..
It’s nearly the end of the year and my Facebook tutorial page that people have joined for a donation, so how to run it for 2025, do we start a new page and afresh or carry on with the same page and ask people for a small donation to keep viewing the original page? It’s a dilemma, things like this worry me as I try and be fair to everyone. I expect I will post on Facebook and ask for suggestions, right that’s me for this week.
