Hi everyone, I’m back. Had a nice time away in France for a few days and the Easter gig was fun, it was two one hour sessions in the morning and then two again in the afternoon with an hour break for some lunch. So all seemed to go swimmingly and the rain just about stayed away which was a bonus as we had to set up the area with two gazebo’s and tables etc. So a long day but fun as we did have a few helpers as well. Looking forward to the next one, that is if I get invited back. It was for the ESM, English Speaking Mum’s so the language barrier was not a problem and we had a laugh.
The day before we did have a balloon jam with eight people attending, I’ve been a little busy since being back so as yet have not started to post the pictures from the day or my trip. I will post them here on Balloon Chat when we get a little time,
Paris Pictures.
We have set up the new balloon page group for the new adventure, “A Balloon Club” that we announced and started on the 1st April, I know but Balloon Chat and The Balloon Artistes Guild both started on the same date as well so wanted to keep things the same. I did set up two pages wrong but think we got it right at the third attempt. The first page was a business page, I think, then the first group page was public and I had people joining before the page was even set up, so we hid that page and then set up a private group page which we think is working. I have added seven tutorials at the moment and will add a few more this week as well so people joining have plenty to look at and to view. Two of the tutorials are my Stand Up/Sit Down Teddy bear which is over 20 minutes long and then my four or six balloon Digger that takes 40 minutes to explain. If you’d like to join we have asked for a small donation/sponsorship and this money will go to running this years balloon days as for the first time in 20 years, at the moment we do not have any sponsorship. And this is the 20th Anniversary year of running the balloon days in the UK so would like to do a few all around the country. So details to join are here, The Worldwide Association of Twisters.
and then the page to look out for on Facebook is, “A Balloon Club”
That’s me for this week the random balloon picture will be the Digger design that is on the new Facebook page.
