We did another free Zoom for anyone who wanted to sign up. I thought I’d cap it at 40 as I would expect possibly 30 to join the meeting. I had 36 sign up and just 18 attend the second zoom, so very similar to the previous week. With half the people who sign up are a no show, which is a shame as I do put a lot into the organising and running of the Zoom’s. Plus varying and updating the designs we are showing. The next Zoom will be the end of September but this is back to club members only, so if you would like to join then here are the details, The Balloon Artistes Guild.
All the designs we made on the August Zoom’s can be seen here, August Zoom’s.
From making the Barbie and her Car the other week we are now onto Racing Cars. This then turned into a Go-Kart that I originally made some 11 years back now, goodness we are re-visiting some classic’s without even knowing about it. They are on the thread here, Racing Car.
Went up to London yesterday to see The Wizard of Oz, I enjoyed it and it was not till the walk down that we realised Ashley Banjo was playing the part of the Tin Man, we did get some bargain priced tickets yesterday but think that was due to the national rail strike that is on over the bank holiday weekend. It is on for another week and worth seeing if you get a chance.
We are off to Chepstow soon to see the Bob Wooding workshop, looking forward to meeting up with Bob and a few of the old members of the Balloon Artistes Guild that I ran for some 18 years.
Off to find the random balloon picture of the week and at the moment not sure what it will be.
I went with the car that I made a little while back now, after someone posted about having to make a Car that
looked like a picture they had been sent. This is the thread if you’d like to take a look, Sports Car.
