Had a nice time yesterday with Harry me grandson, went for a meal and then to watch the local football team Sutton Utd play the first game of the season. They won as well 5 – 1 but that was mainly due to the referee sending off their goalkeeper after 15 mins. Sutton were 1 – 0 up at the time, it was a foul and a goal scoring opportunity but to lose a player for the rest of the game is very harsh. I thought they were talking about bringing in an amber card with 10 minutes in the sin bin like they do with rugby…. anyway who knows. We did have a nice day out even though it was absolutely lashing it down for most of the afternoon. Luckily me daughter came to the rescue and picked us up after the match.
I have added two tutorials this month to the subscription website, Big Bird that we did as a Zoom I think back in August 2022 and then the Heart Plane that is a design from back in 2014 and the wings originally started off as geo blossom balloons. The Plane evolved a little over time, if you would like to join it’s just a pound a week plus VAT (Tax) and there will be 18 tutorials by the end of the year, a Zoom a month to join in with, it is also filmed for those unable to attend live. Plus there will be two of my DVD’s posted as well during the year, so over 50 designs to look at, pleased to say we have 27 members at the moment, so not huge but a nice few and we do have a laugh at the Zoom’s, well I enjoy them, hope to see one or two more members soon. If you would like to join then details are here, The Balloon Artistes Guild.
The Model of the Month for August on Balloon Chat is the Helicopter, so we are going a little flying this month with the Helicopter, Heart Plane on the BAG website and then Big Bird flies as well. Keeping to a theme, more luck than judgement.
The Helicopter step by step can be found here, Helicopter.
Off to find the random balloon picture of the week, I went with the Sheep that we filmed last weekend for the tutorial website, trouble is that is tutorial number 45 and I have only just posted tutorial number 21 so it might be 18 months or so until we post this, oops. I am getting a little ahead of myself but always concerned that we might have a time when some of the designs dry up and I need a few in reserve to post and see me through.
