It’s been a busy week this week, on Thursday I had to cover for a friend who was on the way to entertain in Reading at IKEA and was taken ill, very last minute and I got there a little past the start time but all ended up well. Then Friday it was working with Lord G again at a company fun day, this company are very lucky with the weather as every year it’s been fab. It was a 12 till 5 gig and the first magic show was meant to be at 12.30 which for me is wat too near the start time, which proved right as we could not get anyone to gather around for the first show. So I went look for victim’s… I mean volunteer’s and made a couple of ride in balloon costumes to keep the few that had arrived early happy and entertained. The next two shows went really well and with large audiences at 2.30 and 3.30, we did have a slight problem, I charged my PA over night and for some reason it would not work on the battery the next day. Better have a look and hopefully can find a simple loose connection or perhaps it might be a new battery to be fitted. Apart from that with the circuit board I’d be no good at finding the problem, so fingers crossed.
We have the July Zoom this coming Wed, 31st July for club members and I do see if others might like to attend at the moment, to help promote the club and get a few more joining in. This will stop definitely for the New Year or maybe sooner, will see how I feel about it but at the moment trying to encourage everyone as much as we can.
The new Balloon Towers is coming along, still a bit still to be finished and then time to decorate the room and also fit the new floor down. I think we will go for the wooden floor effect as I laid that last time and it’s not too difficult and the one in the study/office has lasted well.
That’s me for this week, if you have looked at the website this week you will see we have had a slight change with the 321/Geo/busking bag page’s being taken off and a few new pages being added to the modelling drop down section. We have added Sempertex 260 and 360, Kalisan 260 and Kalisan Nozzle-up, Gemar 260 and a 260 assorted page so you can see all the choice in the mixed bag’s all on the one page. Any other suggestions are welcome in adding to the website to make it more user friendly, till then see you next week.
The Zoom this week will be for these two Dog designs.
