1st February

It’s been a busy week this week, started off going to the theatre to see the live aid musical again. We went a few months ago and it was brilliant. It will be closing next week so off we went to see it again, again it was brilliant and well worth seeing.

Then I was trying a few new designs and variations to see how they fitted together ready to film the designs for the tutorial page we run… “A Balloon Club”

I filmed the Dolphin that we came up with last week and then the one balloon Teddy that is even newer. The one balloon Teddy does need three balloons… he he but just one full balloon and a couple of scraps for the eyes and inner mouth. To make things funnier I filmed the design making it with 360’s, which it uses two and then the two scraps. The reason being it’s easier to film and not as critical to the amount of air that you have to put into the 260. I also noticed on the playback that I rock a lot back and forth when filming, will try to remember this for the next session. So for the club so far we have filmed, Winnie the Pooh, Snake, Teddy, Dolphin, Labubu, Trophy and a Chihuahua. The next designs I would like to film are the Mouse and then Panda design, again both are new, I seem to be on a roll at the moment as last night have made a variation of my Elephant design, in a one balloon and two balloon version. So even more to be filmed, that will keep me busy. If you’d like to join the club then we do ask for a small donation of £18 for the full year, details are here, “A Balloon Club”

Getting ready for three conventions, Blackpool magic and Blackpool balloon conventions, both in February and then in March we have the CAP EXPO convention that is taking place in Telford. At the Magic convention we have decided not to make a really big design as we usually do, the format of the event has changed to four days and we are unable to set the stand a day early which gives us a day to build the large display design. So for this year we are concentrating on making as many designs that David and
I make when twisting out in the real world and up-sizing them to 360’s for more of the WOW factor. Hopefully that will brighten the stand and fingers crossed get everyone chatting about the designs and possibly purchasing an extra bag or two of balloons as well, fingers crossed.

That’s me then for this week, off to find the random balloon picture of the week. Not so random as I’m going with the new one balloon Teddy Bear made with four balloons, he he.
