We have had a few Christmas gigs and last Sunday worked with Jana, it’s unusual to be working with other twisters but made the day go quicker and fun having some banter between us all day. Next week we have two other gig’s like this, one with four twisters and then another with three twisters so they are both going to be fun. We posted the last of the tutorials up over on “A Balloon Club” it was for a Helicopter, that is the last one filmed so we’d better start filming some more for 2026. Fingers crossed I can remember about the editing and get things looking reasonable with the editing. I’m not sure yet how we are going top post the tutorials on social media at the moment but sure we will come up with a way…. eventually. Over the years we have tried a few different idea’s and none seem to have taken off and gone global, even the originals on Balloon Chat and BalloonTube have only been the lower 1000’s that have viewed. I’m never quite sure how it all works but will start filming again and see how it all goes, we do have a few designs to film so plenty to keep me busy.
I was working in Caterham yesterday for their Nutcracker festival, the first shop we set up in sold curtains, bedding etc so I was set up next to a mocked up bedroom, was funny and I did post a picture on my Facebook page, in the afternoon it was down to the second shop, Magnet’s and setting up in a kitchen display unit. Was a fun day and we got some nice compliments from those waiting for a design and also the manager of Magnet kitchens who did say they would like to book me as while everyone was waiting they had never had so many people booking for an appointment for details on a new kitchen units. So a win win there for everyone.
We have had some extra security put onto the website this week, just to keep everything updated and running more smoothly, I just go with what the web guy’s say is the best thing to keep the website up and working. They have been pretty good over the years and also a good laugh when we chat things over. So if anyone does need a website I would recommend them.
That’s me then for this week, off to find a random balloon picture of the week, not sure what it’s going to be as we have not been twisting to much at home lately what with sending out orders and a few Christmas gig’s. I went with the Highland Cow that we made a few months back now, there is a thread on Balloon Chat with a few variations, this is the one we have settled on and will be doing a tutorial some time soon in the New Year. The other designs can be seen here on Balloon Chat, Highland Cow.
