I’m back again from me travels, had a lovely time in Paris and helped on four shows. One Friday night, two on Saturday and then the large Easter charity show on the Sunday. It was most enjoyable, and Sarah and family looked after me…. What more could you want.
Then back to catch up for one day and then had two large shows back here, both for bring your kid’s to work day… which seems to be a thing now a days. Was in Reading for Microsoft on the Thursday and central London for a consultancy firm of the Friday. Both had face painters, magician’s, crafting and circus workshops so plenty to keep the children entertained. Oh and a petting Zoo as well.
Now back to sorting the website out as on Wednesday we are changing the website over to not including VAT on the prices and this being added at the checkout. All the other balloon wholesalers work this way and I always preferred to be the price you see is the price you pay. But with balloons going up quite a lot in price lately where people are shopping around and seeing a bag of balloons on another site for £2.90 and then looking on our site and they are £3.49. Well, that is quite a contrast in price but that is the same price when you add the VAT to the £2.90 price. So, we have to keep competitive in this challenging world at the moment. So hopefully Wednesday is the big day and the changeover runs smooth’ish, fingers crossed.
We have three balloon days coming up, Monday 12th May in Stoke, this is the day before the TRIX magic convention, so if you
are attending the event then please come along and join in with the balloon workshops that are taking place between 11am
and 3 pm. We will be explaining our interactive games and then my balloons for the real world.
Then the 19th May we are in Birmingham and the 2nd July in Sutton for two Care & Share balloon days. We have a beginner’s workshop from 10 till 11.30 and then all the usual fun of a Care & Share day with a workshop, sharing ideas and a fun competition along the way with some amazing prizes to be given away.
